I/O Software Inc., a leading authentication software provider announced today that it has released version 4.51 of its SecureSuite® XS advanced authentication platform. SecureSuite XS is a modular multi-factor authentication management infrastructure that replace passwords with more secure and convenient forms of authentication, including biometrics, smart cards, and tokens. Applications built into the product provide secure system logon, password bank/single sign-on, file encryption, and application locking.
Driven by customer demand, SecureSuite XS 4.51 integrates data compression, caching, and other optimizations in order to dramatically improve client-server authentication time and overall performance on wide-area networks, which often have slow (64-128kbps) data links.
This new release also adds a number of new authentication devices to the already extensive list of devices supported by SecureSuite, including:
- AuthenTec, Inc. AES2500 series fingerprint swipe sensors
- Sony Corp. FeliCa contactless smart cards (ISO/IEC 18092), widely used in Asia
- Technoimagia Co., Ltd (Japan) FP-Plus/MBG fingerprint sensors
- Validity Sensors, Inc. VFS101 fingerprint swipe sensors
- NITGen Co., Ltd. Optical Mouse and Hamster fingerprint sensors
- USB flash drives based on M-Systems DiskOnKey technology, including products from Dell, HP, IBM, and others.
“SecureSuite XS 4.51 extends our reach into the identity management and access control market by adding support for new, leading edge authentication devices” said Tas Dienes, COO of I/O Software. “It also helps meet the needs of larger customers that may have a number of small branch offices connected to a few central servers by slow data links.”
SecureSuite XS supports Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Server 2003, and can be deployed as a stand-alone workstation product or in a client/server environment, using Active Directory. It is currently available in English and Japanese. Software developers can also leverage SecureSuite’s strong authentication in their own applications via the SecureTec 4.51 SDK. The latest version of SecureSuite XS Workstation, SecureSuite XS Server, SecureSuite XS Citrix Console and SecureTec AP will be available to end-users through multiple channels, including I/O Software certified distributors, resellers and system integrators, which are listed on I/O Software’s web site at www.iosoftware.com.
