| New SecureSuite SC authentication system enables scalable security in enterprise networks |

I/O Software Inc., a leading authentication software provider announced today the availability of a new smart card based multi-factor authentication product called “SecureSuite SC” supporting Sharp Corp. “Type B” Smart Cards. SecureSuite SC provides secure Windows logon, as well as strong authentication for other Microsoft CAPI/CSP based applications.
Smart Cards generally use PINs for user authentication, but with “SecureSuite SC” integrated, the card authentication can be combined with biometric technology (such as fingerprint, iris, etc.) as well as USB tokens. With this solution, a single Smart Card can be configured for various levels of security, for example:
- Smart Card only for physical access
- Smart Card + PIN for PC client login
- Smart Card + Biometrics + PIN for high security data files access
Netmarks, Inc. and S&I Co. Ltd. of Japan announced the availability of SecureSuite SC, integrated with Sharp smart cards, in the Asian market.

SecureSuite SC is available worldwide, and is planned to support various types of smart cards through CSP integration. SecureSuite SC supports BAPI (Biometric Application Programming Interface), which currently supports the majority of the biometric devices available in the market today.
