The SecureTec Authentication Platform (SecureTec
AP) enables developers and system integrators to leverage vast knowledge
of and experience with authentication technologies, device drivers, device
integration, and credential management that I/O Software has accrued over
the past ten years. SecureTec AP provides user authentication, device
management, cryptographic functionality, and account management services,
and manages the secure storage of authentication credentials.

Authentication Technologies
Using a single API, developers and integrators
gain immediate access to multiple authentication technologies,
including biometric devices such as fingerprint readers and iris scanners,
as well as smart cards and other token devices.
The following technologies are currently supported:
- Fingerprint
- Fingerprint Match-on-Card
- Face
- Iris
- Signature
- Smart card
- Contactless smart card
Device support functionality is provided via
a standardized API with a simple and consistent interface. |
Encryption
SecureTec AP provides support for different encryption
technologies, including Digital Certificates, Certificate Authorities (CA),
Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), and Data encryption technologies such as
3DES and Blowfish. |
Management Tools
SecureTec AP offers a single point of access, authentication, authorization,
administration, and audit, and integrates seamlessly with management tools—MMC
snap-ins, event logging, and so on—already included with the various
Windows operating systems. |
