I/O Software releases SecureSuite XS
The latest generation of I/O Software's award winning software package was released to technology partners, resellers, and systems integrators. SecureSuite XS brings a solid, modular, and flexible authentication platform to any Windows 2000 domain.

The SecureSuite XS Server product is fully integrated with Windows Active Directory, and with its true multi-factor architecture, it offers seamless integration with a multitude of advanced authentication technologies, including biometrics (face, fingerprint, iris, signature, and voice), USB tokens, smart cards, and combination devices. SecureSuite XS offers a very convenient, off-the-shelf authentication platform, with centralized account management, powerful administrator tools, and broad auditing capabilities.

SecureSuite XS allows financial services, health care, government, and corporate customers to fortify their user authentication process and reduce their reliance on inconvenient and unsecure passwords. SecureSuite XS is designed to provide enterprise networks with the most advanced authentication technologies and tools available on the market. The product can be deployed as an off-the-shelf product or can be integrated with 3rd party applications.

I/O Software releases a new platform tool kit - SecureTec SDK 4.0
I/O Software also released its latest SecureTec Software Developer Kit (SDK). The SDK is designed for system integrators and software developers and provides them with powerful tools and controls to integrate the advanced authentication and user management functionality of SecureSuite XS into their own applications. Replace passwords, increase security, and lower support and administration costs.

SecureTec SDK Benefits are:

  • Replace password-based authentication with secure smart card, token, fingerprint, iris, or any other BAPI compliant biometric authentication technology. SecureTec SDK gives you the flexibility to support all of these technologies through a single API.
  • Developers and integrators just add a few simple API calls to an application. SecureTec AP does the rest, so you do not have to worry about device compatibility, drivers, 3rd party SDKs, changing technology, etc.
  • Applications built with SecureTec SDK work with SecureSuite Server for fully Active Directory integrated authentication services.

The SecureTec SDK is designed for applications in:

  • Health care
  • Banking/financial institutions
  • Government
  • ID Development
  • Enterprise networks
  • Workflow management
  • Physical access control

The SDK gives system integrators and developers immediate access to all of the supported authentication technologies and eliminates the risk of becoming locked into a single or proprietary technology. For more information please contact our integration team .

I/O Software teams up with Precise Biometrics
Precise Biometrics and I/O Software are integrating Precise Match-on-Card technology with the SecureSuite XS authentication platform. By combining I/O Software's latest generation of award winning software with Precise Biometrics' leading technology for fingerprint storing and matching on smart cards, the companies offer an advanced IT-security solution, specifically targeting the companies and organizations that have high demands on security.

Precise Match-on-Card offers both storage and matching of the fingerprint to take place directly on the smart card, instead of in a less secure computer or server. Precise's products based on the technology are therefore particularly suitable for companies and organizations that have high demands on security. Precise Biometrics also offers high quality fingerprint readers for different needs and environments.

SecureSuite XS as well as SecureTec customers automatically have access to Precise's technology through I/O Software's authentication platform. For more information please contact our sales team .

I/O Software and Cognitec announce new authentication solution using face recognition
Cognitec Systems GmbH and I/O Software announced in November that Cognitec's FaceVACS face recognition technology is being integrated with SecureSuite XS. The product will allow users to authenticate to a domain or a local account via a simple PC camera and face recognition .

The FaceVACS technology is able to recognize persons from their characteristic facial features using images from PC cameras. FaceVACS has proven to be one of the leading biometric products on the market. It uses advanced face recognition technology to prevent intruders from using fake pictures to spoof the system, and it leads the industry in comparative reliability testing. The technology has been used for physical access control since 1996, and it has been selected for biometric border control system in Australia. The new combination with SecureSuite XS brings this new face technology to the PC user, allowing fast, easy, and secure access to the Windows domains and desktops.

SecureSuite XS as well as SecureTec customers automatically have access to Cognitec's technology through I/O Software's authentication platform. For more information please contact our sales team .
