Software releases new version of SecureSuite XS to partners
I/O Software has released SecureSuite XS version 4.2 to its
channel partners. SecureSuite XS is a modular and flexible
software package that dramatically improves IT security and user
convenience via multi-factor strong authentication, using multiple
biometric and token technologies.
SecureSuite XS version 4.2 replaces passwords with stronger and more convenient
forms of authentication, and adds a number of important features,
administrative tools, and applications that have been requested
by I/O Software's partners and target markets.
"We have managed to improve upon an already great product,"
said Tas Dienes, COO of I/O Software Inc. "The new version
adds important functionality such as support for VPNs and automated
deployment. These features are required to succeed in today's demanding
market."
SecureSuite
XS Workstation can be deployed as a stand-alone workstation product
or in a client/server environment, using Active Directory. The new
Domain Account Profile (DAP) feature will let users leverage strong
and convenient authentication on domains without SecureSuite XS
Server installed.
System integrators, reseller and end-users are free to choose from
more than twenty devices and technologies including biometrics (face,
fingerprint, iris, signature, and voice), USB tokens, and smart
cards that are supported by SecureSuite XS.

Software expands reseller channel
I/O Software
IOS is currently expanding its channel partner program with new
partners in North and South America as well as Asia.
Most of IOS' new partners such as Netmarks, eCorporation Global,
and Practical Solutions, are leading distributors, resellers and
integrators in their respective regions, with years of experience
in computing, systems integration and security products. The new
partners will market IOS' software products, and will provide IOS
with a substantial presence in the different regional markets.
The initiative is expanding an already successful partner program
that gives channel partners the ability to sell the industry's leading
SecureSuite XS and SecureTec products directly. It provides resellers
and integrators with preferred access to a wide range of authentication
technologies, and it provides powerful tools to integrate advanced
authentication into any existing or future product offering.
"The existing partnerships with top device vendors enables
IOS to connect distributors and resellers to the widest range of
leading-edge solutions available in the market today" says
Barbara Polk, Director of Channel Sales, "and it provides channel
partners with the flexible solutions they need in order to be competitive."
I/O
Software teams up with Schlumberger
SchlumbergerSema
and I/O Software have entered into an alliance and original equipment
manufacturer (OEM) licensing agreement. The agreement allows Schlumberger
to integrate I/O Software biometric authentication technologies into
its DeXa.Badge Strong Authentication Solution (SAS), so customers
can seamlessly implement multiple biometric technologies within their
identity management systems.
Incorporating Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), biometrics, and
Match On Card technology, Schlumberger won Best Biometric Solution
for its DeXa.Badge SAS at the Secure Computing (SC) Magazine Awards
in April 2003.
DeXa.Badge, part of the Schlumberger DeXa* Suite of IT infrastructure
services, is an identity management solution in a single credit
card-sized device used by employees for both physical and logical
access to buildings, networks, e-mail and encrypted files, wherever
they are working or traveling. DeXa.Badge SAS supports multiple
authentication mechanisms, including biometrics, applied via authentication
policies based on individuals, groups, applications, realms, channels
or entry points, to different services and applications.
"We continue to meet the challenge of providing increasingly
strong means of efficiently protecting corporate data and networks
so our customers can conduct critical business operations in a secure
environment," commented Mauricio Arboleda, vice president,
Information Security, SchlumbergerSema. "DeXa.Badge SAS, incorporating
I/O Software's technology, provides an extensible architecture to
deploy different biometric technologies for multi-factor authentication
in conjunction with other existing authentication schemes."
DeXa.Badge SAS builds on I/O Software's flexible SecureSuite XS
Authentication Platform technology and offers DeXa.Badge SAS clients
a broad choice of biometric technologies.
